Fujairah International Airport in October of 1987 with a runway length of 3750 meters, a width of 45 meters, and was technically designed to receive all types of aircraft. The airport is working on an expansion project in the building, as well as the establishment of a global center for aircraft maintenance, freight traffic accounts for 90% of the airport's operations, while airlines operate non-scheduled flights to transport passengers.
